Collaborating online provides its own set of challenges. How do you organize projects, data feeds, and conversations, for one? SPARC takes its cue from face-to-face collaboration and assigns each endeavor its own virtual room, each with its own Chat, Draw, and data Viewer utilities. Each of the "rooms" in the SPARC Session Manager image at left is the focal point of collaboration for one of the science objectives of the current campaign. Click on a room to eavesdrop on the activity inside. The image that comes up will be large--probably including several different windows, such as a Chat window and a Mural data viewer--and will be updated live minute-by-minute during the campaign. |
